GCSEs in nine subjects. A score of 15 points from the nine including core and additional science (or Biology, Chemistry and Physics), English Language and Maths. In scoring system A*/A /9/8/7 and above = 2 points; B grade (6) = 1 point.

  • What IB score are Liverpool looking for in prospective medical applicants?
36 points overall (at first sitting): Higher level a minimum of 6,6,6 to include Chemistry together with either Biology, Physics or Mathematics and a third academic subject. 5,5,5 at standard level (subjects not offered at HL).
  • Which A-Level subjects do Liverpool Medical School require?

Chemistry together with either Biology, Physics or Mathematics and a third academic subject.

  • Degree qualifications (for graduate applicants)

If applying as a graduate, a 2:1 honours degree in a biological, biomedical or health sciences degree and A levels of BCC including Chemistry and one other science subject (e.g Biology, Maths, or Physics). If applying with a non-science degree, higher grades in science A levels would be required.

Minimum of Scottish National 5 ( intermediate 2) in Biology, Chemistry,
