The Role
As a Generation Medics Fellow your role will be fast-paced and varied. You will develop and deliver a variety of high quality outreach projects – both online and in-person – and play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders (local NHS, industry and education institutions) so more young people can benefit.

Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, deliver and grow online and in-person programmes which meet the strategic aims of Generation Medics.
- Build and maintain strong links with key organisations and partners in the healthcare sector, and education/community stakeholders.
- Develop, produce and organise high-quality online resources (e.g. guidance on higher education and healthcare careers) for users.
- Coordinate, develop and deliver high-quality in-person outreach events for children and young people, adults, students, trainees and professionals.
- Manage and be accountable for specific project activity (e.g. ensuring all activity is accurately targeted, tracked and evaluated).
- Attend and represent Generation Medics at events (e.g. outreach events, stakeholder meetings and external forums).
- Manage the delivery of events for aspiring healthcare professionals: including taking responsibility for legal requirements i.e. safeguarding and health and safety risk assessments.
- Recruit, develop and manage volunteers and staff where appropriate.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the management team.
These duties are a guide to the work that the Fellow will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances.
Skills and Qualifications Required
The successful candidate will be a UK-educated clinician holding a degree or equivalent qualification, and will have experience of working in the healthcare and/or education sector, with a deep knowledge of the NHS.
You will be a quick learner who is organised, self-motivated and comfortable working to deadlines. You will proactively approach problems thinking outside-the-box to solve them effectively.
