Qualification Grade Requirements for Lincoln Medical School
Predicted A levels/Scottish Highers

Lincoln does not use predicted A level grades and do not score A levels, AS levels, or equivalent as part of the selection process. However, any offers made will be conditional on meeting the A level requirements: AAA including biology (or human biology) and chemistry. A pass is required in science practical tests, where these are assessed separately.


AA at Advanced Higher including Biology and Chemistry. AAAAB at Scottish Higher including Biology and Chemistry, Maths and English Language. Grade A must be achieved in Biology and Chemistry.

GCSEs/Scottish Nationals

Six GCSEs at grade 7 (A) with grade 6 (B) in English language.
These GCSEs must include Biology, Chemistry and Physics as either individual subjects, triple science or double science. They must also include Maths. GCSE Resits not accepted.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

36 points (6, 6, 6 at Higher Level including Biology and Chemistry, excluding core component). English language is required at either standard level (grade 6) or higher level (grade 5).

Degree Qualifications (Graduate Applicants)

2:1 degree in any subject plus the A level requirements and a minimum of GCSE level 4 (C) in maths and English language.
