Degree Requirements (Graduate Applicants)

Graduate applicants will need to be predicted or have achieved an upper
second-class Honours (2.1) degree from a recognised UK university -
science and non-science graduates are considered equally. Degrees
awarded by universities outside the UK are not accepted.

We encourage applicants to use the opportunity of writing their personal statement to think reflectively about their skills and experiences, and how they have helped to prepare them for a career in medicine. This includes evidencing attributes, skills, behaviours and values needed to work within the healthcare service.

  • Does UCL require the UCAT or BMAT for medicine?

BMAT.

UCL’s interview process is currently under review. It is expected that UCL will use Multiple Mini Interviews for applicants in 2022-23.
