We are looking for Development Officers to join our excellent team part-time. This is a great opportunity for people who are looking to develop their skills and experience within an award-winning organisation. 

The ideal candidate will have previous sales and/or fundraising experience and strong communication skills, but most of all we are looking for great people who will go above and beyond to deliver impactful results.

What will you be doing as a development officer?

You’ll be working to develop relationships and raise funds through sales and grant-applications so that we can reach and impact more people! Here’s a guide to what your role will involve:

  • Building and sustaining partnerships and sponsorships with partners to help grow our impact
  • Selling to customers, bidding for contracts and applying for grants
  • Developing income streams to improve organisational sustainability
  • Reporting impact and measuring success for funders
  • Developing and implementing marketing campaigns, strategies and assets to build awareness
  • Organisational planning and logistics for events and services
  • Dealing with external queries in a timely manner
  • Managing information, records/databases and related administration

  • Proven customer service experience
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working to deadlines
  • Previous fundraising experience preferred (but not essential)
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Confident liaising with stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive approach to problems
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Social media experience (but not essential)
  • Full clean driving licence (but not essential)
