We can inspire and empower your students to succeed

Generation Medics [formerly Help Me I’m a Medic] was founded by doctors with one simple aim: to inspire and empower the next generation in their journey to Medicine.

We’re now a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals who are supported by the NHS to inspire children and young people to reach their full potential, meet their own goals and consider a career in the healthcare sphere.

What do we have to offer?

Mini medics

Our Mini Medics programme has been developed for the youngest group we work with. That being Primary School children (aged 6 and above).

We believe that sparking a passion from a young age is very important. Research shows that to inspire and empower young people, you have to start before the age of 9!

What we can deliver:

  • After-school clubs.
  • In-school activities including lessons and assemblies.
  • Holiday and weekend activities.
  • Science Week and Careers Week sessions.
  • Health Promotion sessions (e.g. sessions on brushing teeth, exercise, resilience/character building and healthy eating).

Our Mini Medics programme engages the children in the healthcare world through interactive, fun and educational means.

Our trained team of healthcare professionals delivers the sessions. Giving the children the opportunity to meet and interact with them in a safe space. Allowing them to explore their interests and ask any questions they may have.

Our Secondary School Pupils programme has been developed for pupils at this critical stage of their education, and their journey to a healthcare career.

We offer a broad range of support to this age group due to the range in ability and support required.

What we offer:

  • A moderated forum where pupils can sign up to speak directly with healthcare professionals who are ready and willing to interact. Ready to answer questions and offer insights into their careers.
  • Online courses and resources to support including YouTube videos, careers fact sheets and so much more. Helping to ensure that we support with every aspect of their career journey.
  • After-school clubs.
  • In-school activities including lessons and assemblies that complement the curriculum.
  • Holiday and weekend activities.
  • Science Week and Careers Week sessions.
  • Health Promotion sessions (e.g. sessions on brushing teeth, exercise, resilience/character building and healthy eating).

Our Secondary School programme inspires and empowers pupils through their healthcare career pathway. Our team of healthcare professionals offer them vital insight into hundreds of different careers and support to pursue them.

Events

For the most passionate of your students we also hold various events and conferences specifically for them.

  • The National Aspiring Doctors Conference. An event open to pupils of the ages 12 – 16 who have a direct interest in Medicine. Pupils will gain medical career overviews and insights into how to get ahead. They will also learn all things an aspiring doctor should know and get top tips for future medical students.
  • Clinical Skills Work Experience Days. These days happen multiple times a year and are open to all aspiring doctors 13+. They involve hands on practical experience. Pupils get to practise real medical procedures with real equipment (under supervision of course!). This event provides great opportunities for aspiring doctors and dentists.

Our Aspiring Healthcare Professional programme has been developed for students who are 16+ and enrolled in College or Sixth form education.

This is the most critical point in the academic life of most young people and so the support we offer to students of this age is the most robust and comprehensive.

What we offer:

  • A moderated forum where young people can sign up to speak to their peers, current students and qualified healthcare professionals who are ready and willing to interact, answer questions and offer valuable insights
  • Lots of useful online resources and courses to offer 360-support including YouTube videos, careers fact sheets, blogs and so much more
  • Revision Materials for A Level
  • Application and Interview Lectures, Seminars and Workshops in-school/college, at university venues and online
  • Holiday Schools

Events

We also offer events and conferences locally and nationally for this age group:
